Took a last minute trip home to the States... And by last minute I mean I had nine hours before I had to be at the airport 😅
For real. Lisa came home and said, “so that trip, there’s a flight in September, or you could go tomorrow.” 😳
Normally this would stress. me. out! I’m a planner, list-maker, and a worrier—but this time I just dove in feet first and went with the flow, letting the journey take its course and realizing I already have the skills to get the most out of my visit!
Solo international travel is so empowering for me because it makes me feel like a traveling powerhouse 💪🏼. Tiny bag limits? No problem. Flight delays? Got it handled. Language barriers? Let’s do this. And yeah, I can tackle any public transit thrown my way!
This trip was to visit family. It had been a priority of mine all year and I feel lucky—not that I found the perfect flight—but because I took the leap to do something I really wanted to do but didn’t seem “rational”, and it was worth it!
Have you ever traveled last-minute? Or would you never? 🙅🏼♀️ If there is a trip you want to make happen, what’s in your way? (💸, ⏰?)
